In this day and age, bat flips have become a staple in baseball.
Gone are the days when players stayed reserved when hitting home runs.
Nowadays, home runs aren’t the same without bat flips.
On Monday night, Shohei Ohtani had a big game against the Texas Rangers, hitting two home runs and leading the Los Angeles Angels to a huge win.
His first home run tied the game at five apiece in the seventh inning, and when he hit it, he didn’t hold back.
The two-way star flipped his bat towards the Rangers dugout and proceeded to trot around the bases.

Ohtani knew he got a hold of this one.
The look on his face as he flipped his bat tells the entire story.
This bat flip is one of the best ones that we have seen all season long.
When he knew he hit the ball good, Ohtani wasted no time flipping the bat and watching in admiration as his ball went into the stands at Globe Life Field.
The home run was an opposite field blast, and Ohtani clearly knew it was gone the second it left the bat.
And so, he chose to celebrate by showing off his bat-flipping skills.
It’s clear that Ohtani was also quite proud of his bat flip, and it’s easy to understand why.
But the two-way star wasn’t done there.
He hit a go-ahead blast in the 12th inning to give the Halos the lead and help them secure a 9-8 win over the red-hot Rangers.
