Raptors’ Young will not return vs. Magic due to left knee strain

Toronto Raptors forward Thaddeus Young will not return to Tuesday night’s game against the Orlando Magic after suffering a left knee strain, the team reported.

The 34-year-old forward fell to the ground and clutched his knee while defending Magic wing Franz Wagner in the second quarter. He was slow to get up and a timeout was called on the ensuing possession to take him out of the game.

He had to be helped to the locker room, followed by the medical staff. Young had played six minutes up to that point with four points and one steal.

Young has averaged 4.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game this season.
