After failed stints with the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs, wide receiver Kadarius Toney was given another chance to prove his worth on the NFL level by getting signed by the Cleveland Browns to finish out the 2024 NFL regular season.
Unfortunately for Toney, things haven’t gone too well for the 25-year-old and former first-round draft pick, as he hasn’t been able to make an impact on the field when given the opportunity.
On Sunday against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers, Toney was called upon to field a punt, which went horribly, as he muffed it late in the fourth quarter, which sealed the deal for Mike Tomlin’s squad via NFL on CBS.

Toney seems to have misjudged where the punt was going to go as he was back peddling and seems to have fallen over in the process of trying to make the catch, which resulted in him dropping the ball and the Steelers being right on top of it to get the turnover.
Not much went right for the Browns on Sunday, but this definitely put the nail coffin, even though the Steelers were already sporting a 13-point lead, which turned out to be the difference.
Ultimately, as a result of the Browns suffering their 10th loss of the season, Cleveland has officially been eliminated from playoff contention, which has been a foregone conclusion for the franchise for quite some time with the way things have gone for the team this season.
