Nick Wright Says 1 Warriors Veteran Has A Decision To Make

The Golden State Warriors have now missed the playoffs in three of the last five seasons, and their dynasty seems to be over.

They will have some difficult decisions to make this offseason, starting with whether to re-sign the aging and in-decline Klay Thompson, one of the major cornerstones of their four championship teams.

While Stephen Curry is under contract for two more seasons, he may be doomed to finish his career on a mediocre squad, which led Nick Wright to say on “What’s Wright? with Nick Wright” that he needs to decide whether to retire as a Warrior or chase more championships.

The implication is that if Curry wants to add something to his already impressive legacy, he may have to leave the Warriors, the only NBA team he has ever played for since being drafted in 2009.

Wright also implied that as a member of this summer’s Olympic team, Curry will have the opportunity to talk to his fellow NBA stars and superstars and perhaps discuss a scenario in which he would team up with one or two of them.

If Thompson leaves and the Warriors continue to disintegrate, it could perhaps hasten Curry’s departure and cause him to head to another team in an attempt to win a fifth world championship while he’s still capable of carrying a team.
