After another disappointing season ended for the Los Angeles Chargers, the struggling franchise was expected to make some drastic changes during the NFL offseason and search for Brandon Staley’s successor as head coach.

Ultimately, the Chargers made perhaps the best hire at head coach with the team being able to bring in former University of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, which was a giant leap in the right direction for Los Angeles.

However, the team still has a lot of questions to answer for the offseason, namely what they were going to do with their salary cap situation, which was a mess, to say the least with some big-name players potentially released to clear space.

Fortunately for Los Angeles, outside of recently parting ways with wide receiver Mike Williams, the team was able to restructure the contracts of Khalil Mack and now Joey Bosa.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Bosa has agreed to restructure his contract with the team so that he can stay in Los Angeles moving forward, which is also what Mack did.

This was the best-case scenario for the Chargers, as losing one or both of these defensive stars would be costly to the team being a force to be reckoned with on that side of the football during the 2024 campaign.

With the cap situation back on track in Los Angeles, it’ll be interesting to see what moves the team can and will make during the offseason in order to get this squad back on track as a title contender in the AFC.
