The Tennessee Titans have made some notable offseason additions, including one-time Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard and wide receiver Calvin Ridley.

However, they will go about as far as quarterback Will Levis will take them.

In 2023, his rookie year, Levis took over the starting spot at midseason and finished with 1,808 passing yards, eight touchdown passes, and four interceptions in nine games played while completing 58.4 percent of his pass attempts.

Sam Acho said that the “jury is still out” on whether Levis can be a quality starting quarterback, but he did offer a glimmer of hope by praising Tennessee’s offseason moves, per NFL on ESPN.

Levis had the league’s lowest completion percentage last season, and Acho mentioned a Week 15 loss to the Houston Texans in which he got sacked a whopping seven times.

Just two weeks before that, Levis was sacked six times when the Titans lost, 31-28, to the Indianapolis Colts.

In an attempt to rectify that problem, the Titans brought in center Lloyd Cushenberry III while drafting offensive tackle Jerome “JC” Latham from the University of Alabama with the No. 7 pick in last month’s draft.

Levis was projected to be a first-round pick last year, but he fell into the second round, where Tennessee took him at No. 33.

The AFC South won’t be an easy division to play in, as the Houston Texans look absolutely loaded and the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to take the next step.

It looks like perhaps the process of Tennessee being able to win their first playoff game since the 2019 season will take a little while, especially as they look to develop Levis and see what he’s truly capable of.
