Analyst Says 1 NFL Team Is Headed For A ‘Complete Implosion’

The New York Jets headed into the 2023 NFL regular season with high hopes of being a legitimate title contender after the team acquired superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster deal with the Green Bay Packers.

The addition of Rodgers under center to replace draft bust Zach Wilson was thought to be a game-changer for the storied NFL franchise, but then disaster struck during the Week 1 showdown with the division-rival Buffalo Bills, with the four-time NFL MVP going down with a season-ending Achilles injury.

This injury derailed any chance for the Jets to be competitive during the 2023 campaign, as the team limped their way to a 7-10 record and missed the NFL playoffs entirely.

With Rodgers letting it be known that he intends to return to the team for 2024, there is some light at the end of the tunnel, but there’s no guarantee he’ll be the same player or if the Jets can put enough talent around him to compete.

Podcaster John Middlekauff recently spoke with Colin Cowherd and said this team is headed for an implosion, per The Volume.

“I think they’re headed for a complete implosion and a complete disaster,” Middlekauff said.

At this point in time, the odds are against the Jets turning things around and getting back on track with a healthy Rodgers under center, but it isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that New York can figure things out.

Only time will tell if the Rodgers experiment turns out to be a complete disaster or if the team’s success was simply delayed a year.
