On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers will head into battle against the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the consensus being that Brock Purdy and company are the favorites to come out on top.

Even though the Chiefs are the defending champs and have arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time leading the way with Patrick Mahomes under center, Kansas City is lacking in comparison when it comes to star power, even if Taylor Swift was suiting up for the team.

The 49ers have plenty of stars on both sides of the football and are hoping those stars can lead this team to a Super Bowl title while ending the Chiefs’ bid for back-to-back titles.

Despite the 49ers being dubbed the favorite as of right now, there is one stat that is a bit concerning for San Francisco, namely for head coach Kyle Shanahan, who has already lost once to legendary head coach Andy Reid in the Super Bowl.

According to B/R Gridiron, a Super Bowl-winning head coach has never lost a rematch versus the same head coach, which obviously doesn’t bode well for San Francisco.

Obviously, this is a bit of an obscure stat and won’t be what everyone is talking about on Super Bowl Sunday this weekend, but it is a bit interesting.

Shanahan will desperately want to get this win over the Chiefs on Sunday as he has yet to win a Super Bowl, even though he’s already coached in some capacity in two appearances.
