The New England Patriots and Bill Belichick have officially parted ways, which has been in the works for several weeks.
It was a longstanding rumor, one that hadn’t been confirmed.
Now that these two entities are officially split, fans and analysts have reacted differently depending on their rooting interests.
In a live edition of The Carton Show, Craig Carton expressed joy at this news, holding a bottle of champagne while glitter exploded around him.

Carton was repeatedly singing, “I’m having a great day,” while dancing around, rejoicing at this news.
He also said, “It is a glorious time to be alive, to be an American.”
This celebration came before Adam Schefter’s report that Belichick may try to coach somewhere else next season, which could open up another can of worms for Carton.
For now, however, Carton is content to relish that Belichick is no longer coaching the Patriots.
Belichick’s career with the Patriots will not soon be forgotten, but judging by Carton’s comments, it was in the best interest of both parties to move on.
Now that he is gone, the Patriots can look to the future, hoping to find a new coach to guide them down the right path.
This also gives Belichick a unique opportunity to coach another team, potentially massively impacting them, given his historic run of success.
Several teams have emerged as potential landing spots, so seeing where Belichick ends up when all is said and done will be interesting and if that team will start winning.
