During his time with the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Joe Flacco was one of the best in the business, as he made the franchise one of the most competitive in the league leading up to winning a Super Bowl.

Unfortunately for Flacco, the years haven’t been kind since he led the Ravens to a Super Bowl title over the San Francisco 49ers in February 2013.

Flacco’s final years with the Ravens weren’t all that spectacular, leading to him becoming a journeyman after landing with the Denver Broncos in 2019, which turned out to be a one-and-done season for the veteran quarterback.

After his short stint with the Broncos, Flacco played for the New York Jets for three years before landing with the Cleveland Browns this season, which turned out to be the ideal situation following Deshaun Watson’s injury.

As noted by Dov Kleiman, once Flacco takes a snap in the playoff matchup against the Houston Texans, he will have the second-longest gap between playoff starts in NFL history, behind only Doug Flutie.

Flacco has been a pleasant surprise for the Browns this season after quarterbacks were going down one after another for Cleveland.

It’ll be interesting to see if Flacco can play well enough to keep the Browns in the hunt for a Super Bowl title or a deep run in the NFL playoffs.

Even though the Browns are slight favorites on the road, Flacco and company will have their work cut out for them against a good Texans team that will be looking to make a statement, with rising star C.J. Stroud leading the charge under center.
