Over the last few years, the Orlando Magic have built a reputation for being one of the worst teams in the NBA.

However, this season, the Magic have surprised everyone in the league with a sensational performance.

As of now, the Magic have a 14-5 record, which makes them the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Magic most recently registered a close five-point win against the Washington Wizards, behind a stellar performance by Paolo Banchero.

Banchero played the entire game this time around after missing the final quarter of the team’s previous battle against the Magic on Wednesday.

The young stud’s ankle injury is apparently fine, as revealed via Fawzan Amer on Twitter.

After all, Banchero played 38 minutes in the Magic’s most recent game against the Wizards and recorded 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Following their back-to-back wins against the Wizards, the Magic are now on a nine-game winning streak.

As we mentioned earlier, this excellent winning streak makes the Magic undoubtedly one of the best teams in the conference.

Banchero has been crucial to this winning streak as he is averaging 19.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game for the Magic in the 2023-24 NBA season.

Moreover, he is shooting 48.6% from the field and 45.8% from the three-point line this season.

It’s a huge improvement from his rookie season, where he struggled to shoot consistently from the field.

Can Banchero continue playing at this level? If yes, he will be the key to the Orlando Magic’s hopes of finally making a deep run in the playoffs.
