After a strong start to the 2023-24 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors have dropped five consecutive games and now sport a 6-7 record.

The Warriors haven’t been quite themselves on either end of the floor, particularly defensively after Draymond Green was suspended for his altercation with Rudy Gobert.

Golden State has looked slow compared to the younger teams they’ve faced like the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder, and unsurprisingly have struggled to keep up.

Making things even more difficult has been Stephen Curry’s absence as he’s now missed multiple games due to a knee strain.

Without Curry, the Warrior offense has plummeted and forced players like Klay Thompson and Chris Paul to assume more of the offensive load.

However, the former MVP could be returning to the lineup soon as he is being listed as questionable against the Thunder via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Getting Curry back would be an incredibly huge boost to Golden State as he remains the most electrifying shooter in the league.

Without Curry on the floor, teams are able to load up on the other players on the roster so the organization is hopeful that the sharpshooter can return and help them get back in the win column.

However, even if Curry does suit up the Warriors have their work cut out for them as the Thunder are stacked with plenty of young talent and a superstar guard in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Oklahoma City looks like they’re taking another leap forward, so Golden State’s got to be on its A-game if they hope to snap their losing streak.
