The current landscape of the running back position has been a persistent topic throughout the offseason.
Players and analysts have chimed in, giving their perspective on the situation.
Tennessee Titans star Derrick Henry is the latest to provide feedback, a public response to what has already been said.
In a recent conversation with the AP’s Teresa M. Walker via Pro Football Talk, Henry said, “We just want our share due.”

Henry’s comments point out that running backs aren’t necessarily looking to reset the market.
He, along with so many of his running back counterparts are just looking for a piece of the pie, knowing they are valuable assets.
Henry also said that backs are “just trying to show that we are valuable as any other position.”
Running backs have recently seen what teams think about quarterbacks, tight ends, and wide receivers.
Those positions continue to get four or five-year extensions, trying them to their organizations for several years.
Some of the league’s top backs struggle to get a one-year deal, let alone a longer-term extension.
This has caused unrest, as more and more players speak out regarding this egregious disparity.
The potential impact of this fallout remains to be seen.
Some pundits believe the league will intervene at some point, especially if players continue to discuss this matter publically.
While the NFL has moved to more of a pass-friendly league, it has also left players like Henry in the dust.
For now, Henry will return to the Titans, hoping to continue his dominance for at least one more season.
