The basketball world is anxiously awaiting the NBA debut of Victor Wembanyama, the 7-foot-3 French phenom who has been described as a generational talent.
Many feel he has tremendous superstar potential and that he could perhaps even become the best player in the world within three to five years.
At age 19, he has plenty of room for improvement, and that improvement starts with his body, which weighs only about 209 pounds.
Wembanyama was recently seen doing a boxing workout with former boxer Jesse James Leija.

The big man played two games during NBA Summer League, and although he struggled offensively in his first contest, he dropped 27 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks while shooting 9-of-14 from the field and 2-of-4 from 3-point range in his second game.
Right now, improving his 3-point shot and his low-post game could be the key to him realizing his potential and meeting the gigantic expectations.
But many are concerned about whether his lanky body will hold up at the next level.
Several times during Summer League play, he appeared to lose his balance and fall to the floor when an opponent bodied him up, and it’s something he cannot allow to happen at the next level.
But Wembanyama is in an enviable position, as he got to be drafted by the San Antonio Spurs, the same franchise David Robinson and Tim Duncan played for.
That means he will get to be coached by five-time NBA champion Gregg Popovich, who just got indicted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
