The New York Knicks are coming off a season in which the storied NBA franchise exceeded expectations and pulled off an upset in the NBA playoffs over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.

Along with getting the best of Donovan Mitchell and company in five games, the Knicks have a new star in town, with Jalen Brunson proving to be the real deal and one of the best signings the team has ever made.

Even though Brunson has helped this team reach another level and could be a Knicks legend in the making, New York is still a piece or two away from being a legitimate title contender in the Eastern Conference, which means the team has been looking for ways to drastically improve this summer.

One of those options the Knicks explored this summer is whether the Chicago Bulls were willing to trade talented scorer Zach LaVine before next season, and apparently, they were open to the idea.

However, the asking price for LaVine was much too high for the Knicks’ liking, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic, via Bleacher Report.

Over the last couple of seasons, there have been a lot of rumors swirling around the league about LaVine’s availability and if the Bulls were ready to move on and start a rebuild in Chicago.

All signs point to the Bulls wanting to move on but not willing to budge in trade talks, which has resulted in no movement in Chicago, but that could soon change if the team struggles ahead of the NBA trade deadline next season.
