It might be some time before we see Lonzo Ball of the Chicago Bulls play NBA basketball again – but at least he is having a good time in his personal life.

The talented young guard is facing the prospect of missing yet another season of basketball in 2023-24 because of an injury that seemingly cannot be solved.

But Ball looked happy on Instagram, posting a series of pictures with his family, his friends, and his travels.

The caption read: “Try to smile thru it all.”

It’s good that Ball has learned to smile through all of the issues he has gone through – because there have been more than enough.

Ball hasn’t played a game since the start of 2022, due to a serious issue with his left knee.

Despite multiple surgeries and the best doctors in the league examining him, it sounds like Ball is still no closer to playing.

In fact, the Bulls have officially applied for a disabled player exception worth $10.2 million, according to team insiders.

This is a sign that even the front office doesn’t expect Ball to be back soon.

Ball is a young man, only 25 years old, which means that if he can get healthy he still could have a long career ahead of him.

But it is concerning to hear that several surgeries and consultations with doctors haven’t made much progress.

Ball is staying positive as he waits for his career to restart.

That is good because he might be waiting for a while.
