Thunder HC Reacts To Game 1 Win Over Mavericks

The Oklahoma City Thunder are still undefeated in the postseason.

Nonetheless, they’re not letting any of that get to their heads.

Mark Daigenault’s team is still taking a ‘one game at a time’ approach, and it’s worked so far.

Following their big win over the Dallas Mavericks, the reigning Coach of the Year talked about how the team has stayed ready and focused after every contest, knowing that there’s still plenty of basketball to be played (via NBA).

Daigneault stated that it was unrealistic to expect the Mavs to be that same team from Game 1 in the upcoming games.

He believes they’ve reached this stage for a reason, adding that they have very good players and should be ready to bounce back and throw some punches as well.

The Thunder finished the season with the best record in the Western Conference, yet some people continue to sleep on them.

Despite being a perfect 5-0 in as many games, they’re still far from the odds-on favorites to win the NBA championship.

Needless to say, there’s still plenty of series left, and they cannot afford to take their foot off the gas against a dangerous and talented team like the Dallas Mavericks.

Then again, this team should continue to play with this kind of poise and this level of confidence, as they have absolutely everything they need to get the job done.

Don’t be shocked if they get back to the NBA Finals for the first time since the Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden days.
