On June 27th, it was announced that Ryan Mallett passed away.

Mallett was a former member of the New England Patriots, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens.

He made quite an impression on those around him and will be deeply missed by all.

In a statement that was released by the Patriots, Bill Belichick provided some words in the aftermath of this tragedy.

“I am extremely saddened by Ryan’s tragic passing,” Belichick said.

Belichick also added, “My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the many people whose lives he touched.”.

During his time as a head coach, Belichick has worked with countless players and coaches, learning about their lives, and who they are on and off the football field.

While Mallett was only on the team for a few years, he made a good impression on Belichick.

Mallett’s career in the NFL spanned from 2011-2017 and he started eight games throughout that timespan.

He was named the head coach at a White Hall (Arkansas) high school in 2022 and was slated to continue with that role in the fall.

Mallett was from Arkansas and spent three years of his collegiate career playing for the team.

He was a two-time member of the All-SEC team and a valued member of the Arkansas team.

Mallett’s life and career will not soon be forgotten, and he will always be remembered by many.
