The Denver Nuggets struck gold with Nikola Jokic, but chances are that not even the most optimistic member of their coaching staff ever thought he would become the player he is nowadays.

That league hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic was the best thing that could’ve happened to that franchise.

Jokic showed up to the bubble in the best shape of his career, looking slim and finally taking his game to a whole new dimension by not running out of gas in the second half.

He’s become such a unique offensive force that Hall-of-Famer Tracy McGrady almost ran out of words to praise him while evaluating the NBA Finals.

McGrady praised Jokic’s passing and compared him to Jason Kidd by stating they’re the kind of players who don’t need to score to make a huge impact on the game, although Jokic can obviously put the ball in the basket.

The Houston Rockets legend also said that Jokic is everything he loves about a basketball player, adding that he would love to have played with someone like him.

McGrady also believes that Bam Adebayo will be in a lot of trouble throughout the NBA Finals, as there’s literally nothing Jokic can’t do on the offensive end of the floor.

That’s definitely the ultimate praise, as it comes from one of the most explosive and unstoppable scorers this game has ever seen.
