The NBA offseason has been tough on many veteran head coaches.

We have seen some very good coaches get fired even after taking their teams to the playoffs.

One of those teams was the Milwaukee Bucks who fired championship head coach Mike Budenholzer.

He led the Bucks to the championship in 2021, and now he is looking for a job two years later.

But the Bucks thought they could upgrade at head coach.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Bucks are planning to hire Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin as their head coach.

Griffin was not one of the well-known names available.

That is because he has never been a head coach before.

But Milwaukee must have liked what they saw in Griffin and his long-term prospects as their coach.

Some fans are excited about this move for the Bucks.

Griffin will be a new voice in the locker room that the Bucks need.

Many fans might not like this hire because they do not know who Griffin is.

But he is a good coach and has a lot of experience as an assistant in the NBA.

Griffin even spent his first two seasons as an assistant with the Bucks.

That was back from 2008-2010.

Still, some fans wish the Bucks would have gone the route of getting a proven coach.

It will be interesting to see how Griffin does will his first head coaching job.

He will have plenty of pressure on him to lead a loaded Bucks team back to the NBA Finals.
