The Padres Are Making Money By Spending Money

Things are about to get exciting in San Diego.

The San Diego Padres made some big moves ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline in order to strengthen their ballclub.

They acquired both Juan Soto and Josh Bell from the Washington Nationals, brought in Josh Hader in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, and picked up Brandon Drury from the Cincinnati Reds.

And with these moves, ticket sales have risen at Petco Park.

After last night’s win over the Colorado Rockies, Padres insider Kevin Acee revealed that the team drew the third-largest crowd of the year, with roughly 4,000 tickets being sold after the Soto and Bell trade.

Padres On The Rise

This can only mean one thing for the Padres, that fans are getting excited about what the team has on its roster and are eager to go down to Petco Park.

In fact, ticket sales for every remaining home game went up after the Soto-Bell trade was made.

It’s an exciting time to be a fan of the Padres.

This team looks really dangerous.

After last season’s collapse, the Padres were determined to come back stronger in 2022 and they have done just that.

This is a good team with its sights set on the World Series, which is somewhere they haven’t been since 1998.

But things are looking up out in San Diego.

A lineup that features Soto, Bell, Drury, Manny Machado, and eventually Fernando Tatis Jr. is going to be incredibly tough to stop.

Pitchers are going to have to pitch to everybody in the lineup.

Even with a large deficit in the NL West, the Padres now look like a team that is destined to make an appearance in this year’s Fall Classic.
