NBA Star Makes Surprising Admission About Potential Retirement

One of the biggest upsets in NBA playoff history recently took place, with the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks, led by Giannis Antetokoumpo, losing to the eight-seeded Miami Heat in the first round in five games.

The Bucks losing this first-round playoff series to the Heat was shocking, to say the least, with no one expecting Jimmy Butler’s squad to come out on top against arguably the best team in the league.

Along with the Bucks falling short to the Heat, Milwaukee got some bad news this weekend, with star point guard Jrue Holiday making a stunning admission about how much longer he intends to play in the NBA on the Point Forward Podcast with Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner via NBA University’s Twitter account.

In June, Holiday will turn 33 years old and would presumably have more than two years left in him, especially considering the fact he’s playing alongside the best player in the game as part of a talented trio that includes Khris Middleton.

As one of the best defensive guards in the NBA, Holiday can still play at a very high level, even though he’s coming off a disappointing effort against the Heat, with Butler getting the best of him throughout the series.

Two years is a long time, and anything can happen during that time for a veteran player like Holiday.

If Holiday does intend to retire in two years, it will likely make the Bucks brass think about the immediate future and what to do if their point guard does decide to walk away from the game earlier than expected.
