Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had something of a breakout season this year, but it was also a rough year for him, as he suffered multiple concussions, including one on Christmas Day against the Green Bay Packers.

Many are very concerned about his well-being, as he is still in the NFL’s concussion protocol about a month later, which means he will not take part in the Pro Bowl.

Tagovailoa showed occasional glimpses of who he could be in his first two seasons, but overall, he was underwhelming during that span.

But this season, he significantly raised his game, posting 3,548 passing yards, 25 touchdown passes and a league-high 105.5 passer rating.

He also led the NFL with a 6.3 percent touchdown rate and 8.9 yards gained per pass attempt.

Thanks to the gains the University of Alabama product showed, the Dolphins’ offense, at times, looked very explosive.

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill, whom they traded for in the offseason, had a career year with 1,710 yards, while second-year wideout Jaylen Waddle was impressive with 1,356 yards and eight touchdowns.

However, the concussions Tagovailoa suffered have had some calling for him to quit football altogether.

He sustained one in Week 4 versus the Cincinnati Bengals, and the week prior, it was believed he had sustained another concussion.

The uncertainty about Tagovailoa’s future in Miami has prompted rumors that the team may go after another quarterback.

One name that has come up is Tom Brady, a name that also came up months ago.

But as of now, it seems like the future of the Dolphins organization could be hanging in the balance while they wait for Tagovailoa to at least clear concussion protocol.
