The 20-year-old made his debut with the Victoria Guimaraes B team in the year 2020 and till 2022 he made 23 appearances for them where he found the back of the net once. The Portuguese club was impressed with his performances with the B team hence they decided to promote him to the senior team where he went on to make 19 appearances for them in all competitions.

The Italian international comes across as a well-positioned midfielder who has the ability to help the team thwart any attacking threat posed by the opposition. His versatility is his biggest strength as he is comfortable with controlling the ball in tight situations and he is comfortable helping the team defensively. Apart from playing in a midfield position, Bamba can also be deployed as a centreback on the left and the right side.

Arsenal is looking to bring on board a defensive midfielder in the January transfer window, this is one of the three positions in which they are looking forward to bringing in new reinforcements as they are proactively looking to strengthen their current squad.

The Premier League giants have kept an eye on Bamba as they see him to be a player who perfectly fits their profile of a defensive midfielder. The club has sent scouts to monitor his performances for the Portuguese club.

Bamba at the beginning of the year (26 January 2022) had signed a new contract with Vitoria Guimaraes which would tie him to the club for 5 years. Despite inking a new contract with the player the club will let the player go provided that an astronomical offer is made for the 20-year-old.

The player’s value is around €3.5m but Victoria Guimaraes will only consider offers that are 10 times more than his current value. Therefore it will be interesting to see how a transfer for the player materializes as Arsenal will face stiff competition from PSG who are also interested in luring him to Parc des Princes.
