The Cleveland Cavaliers entered their second playoff game against the Boston Celtics as significant underdogs.

After getting blown out in Game 1, many fans and analysts believed the Cavaliers were due for another poor performance.

Despite the game being tied at halftime, the Cavaliers rallied in the second half and put together a dominant win.

There were several standout performances from players on the Cavaliers roster in this one, but one player seemed to shine above the rest, at least in Aaron Goldhammer’s mind.

Goldhammer weighed in on the game in a clip shared by ESPN Cleveland on Twitter, saying, “This was the best game of Evan Mobley’s career.”

Donovan Mitchell is said to be the star of this team, and he seems to be the player that many media members discuss when talking about the Cavaliers.

However, as Goldhammer highlights, Mobley can certainly take over a game as well, which he did in Game 2.

He scored 21 points in this game and added ten rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and one steal.

This outstanding performance allowed the Cavaliers to extend their lead against the Celtics, a team that is still viewed as the favorites to win the NBA Finals.

Now that Mobley has had a game like this, the Celtics might have to guard him differently.

He isn’t necessarily viewed as a big scoring threat, as Mitchell tends to be the player that defenses focus on.

If Mobley can keep this up in Game 3, however, the Celtics will have to respect him more on defense, which could result in an even bigger game from Mitchell if they aren’t careful.
