Babar Is Bazball’d In Pakistan

Published on 20 Dec 2022 6:09 pm (UK Time)

Bazball is a success in the sub-continent.

Many of us had doubts if the new era approach could work in Asia, but with an emphatic whitewash, England has made it clear Bazball is here to stay!

The glory days of Pakistan cricket, when Karachi was a fortress that could not be breached.

Then came England in the year 2000 a dark and dusky evening in Karachi saw skipper Hussain and former coach Thorpe seal a historic win.

The Pakistan team have a remarkable Test record at the ground, having only lost twice in 45 Test matches.

The crowd pullers have now moved on, Pakistan’s fast bowling seems to be lacking its killer instinct and the once fearsome Pindi Express tearing through England in Multan during their last visit is just a distant memory for the die-hard fans of Pakistan cricket.

Pakistan has had injury woes, but this has not stopped the team from bearing the brunt of major criticism.

Babar Azam is under severe pressure about his captaincy and many have asked for the former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed to be added to the side to calm their frantic fragility.

The Pakistan side lacks experience and even though it has excelled in the white ball format it is desperately missing the days of Misbah and Younis in the middle order which yielded so much success during their time in the UAE

Azhar Ali has also played his last innings and this has added even further pressure on to Babar Azam to steady the sinking ship that is the Pakistan cricket team.

Pakistan will have to recover quickly as Kane Williamson and the Kiwis return to Pakistan for a Boxing Day Test.

It will be enthralling to see what 2023 holds for Pakistan cricket and its adoring fans.
