Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had a chance to clinch a third-consecutive 1,000-yard rushing season.

No other quarterback in NFL history has achieved that feat and doing so could have strengthened his case to become a nominee for Most Valuable Player.

Playing at an MVP level, Jackson led the Ravens to an 8-3 record and a potential postseason appearance.

Unfortunately, his season was cut short after 12 games due to an ankle injury.

Amidst his absence, the Ravens lost their last six games to bow out of playoff contention for the first time in Jackson’s pro career.

That disappointment has inspired him to have a resurgent 2022 campaign.

Therefore, he is raring to prove that the league hasn’t figured him out yet.

To achieve that goal, Jackson must have spent countless hours at the gym as shown in his latest picture.

Pro Football Focus shared an image of a ripped Jackson going through the motions of his job.

The rust factor must have settled in after missing the end of the season and the entire playoffs.

That’s why the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player had this training session at Florida Atlantic University.

Jackson Still Seeking His New Contract

Aside from becoming a new man, Jackson is also looking for a contract extension with the Ravens.

He doesn’t have an agent, meaning that he will negotiate directly with general manager Eric DeCosta regarding his next deal.

Jackson will have an amount in mind based on prevailing trends of the quarterback market.

However, the negotiation can drag along as the Ravens make a counter-offer.

Still, both sides are hoping that a new contract will be signed before the 2022 season starts.

That way, Jackson gets financial and job security before focusing on his role as the team’s leader on offense.
