Nighttime Mass celebrity Hamish Linklater has been forged as President Abraham Lincoln in Apple TV+’s upcoming collection Manhunt, in line with Lincoln’s assassination, E! Information confirms. American Crime celebrity Lili Taylor will play Mary Lincoln.
Described as “section ancient fiction, section conspiracy mystery,” in keeping with Apple TV+, the collection will “take audiences into the aftermath of the primary American Presidential assassination and the battle to keep and offer protection to the beliefs that have been the basis of Lincoln’s Reconstruction plans—problems that reverberate into the prevailing day.”
Manhunt will even shine a gentle on many people whose tales have infrequently been advised.
“The collection strongly options Black ancient figures whose lives intertwined with the break out, manhunt, and next high-crimes investigation,” says the streamer, “together with Mary Simms, a former slave of the physician who handled [John Wilkes] Sales space‘s damage.”
Greenleaf celebrity Lovie Simone will play Simms, whilst Tony nominee Anthony Boyle will play Sales space who’s, in fact, the person who killed Lincoln at Washington D.C.’s Ford’s Theatre in April 1865.
