Ukraine: Why the cool animated film Masyanya was once banned in Russia

Masyanya, the mischievous and witty heroine of an animated collection on-line, is broadly common amongst Russian audio system. Greater than 1,000,000 persons are subscribed to the cool animated film’s YouTube channel.

On the other hand, the most recent episode dedicated to the warfare in Ukraine has introduced each reward and threats. Quickly after the episode was once printed, Russian government banned it and requested the cool animated film’s author, Oleg Kuvaev, to take away it from his site as it “discredits the Russian Federation’s militia”.

The BBC has spoken to Oleg Kuvaev, who emigrated from Russia to Israel years in the past and says “there’s no approach to snicker concerning the warfare”.
