The team announced that forward Ryan O’Reilly will not suit up for Thursday’s game against the Montreal Canadiens and is listed as week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
It’s unclear when O’Reilly suffered the injury, but the Predators visited the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night, where the 33-year-old played 21 shifts in 16:50 of ice time.
In 26 games for the struggling Predators this season, the three-time All-Star has five goals and 14 points.
The Predators also announced that forward Jeremy Lauzon has been placed on injured reserve. The 27-year-old has not played since Nov. 25. He’s racked up one assist and 19 penalty minutes in 22 games.
Forward Michael McCarron, sidelined since Nov. 20, has been activated off injured reserve for the Predators and will be available to play against the Canadiens. He’s recorded two goals and two assists in 18 games.
The 7-13-6 Predators sit second-last in the Central Division, ahead of only the Chicago Blackhawks. They are in the midst of a five-game losing streak.
