Strawweight fighter Feng Xiaocan was taken to a local hospital after being knocked out by Shi Ming in a preliminary bout during a UFC Fight Night event in Macau on Saturday.

Ming landed a head kick that knocked Xiaocan out cold during the third round of their 115-pound contest. It took several minutes for Xiaocan to regain consciousness and she was placed on a stretcher out of precaution and removed from the cage.

Xiaocan, who reportedly had feeling in all her extremities, was later transported to a nearby hospital to undergo a precautionary head CT scan.

UFC play-by-play commentator John Gooden announced that because Xiaocan was unconscious for four minutes, the UFC and local medical officials decided to utilize the stretcher.

“She was awake but unresponsive at first before she began speaking with her coach in the ambulance,” Gooden explained before reporting that Xiaocan was not experiencing any pain, dizziness, or headache, just that Xiaocan was unaware of what happened.

Xiaocan did not sustain any fractures to her face or neck.

Ming expressed concern for her opponent following her highlight victory.
