With just days to go before the NBA regular season begins, the Charlotte Hornets are making a few final changes to their roster.
On Friday morning, the team announced they were waiving Charlie Brown Jr., Harry Giles III, and Keyontae Johnson.
With these alterations, the Hornets now have their lineup ready for the season.

Brown appeared in 49 games across 5 teams: the Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, New York Knicks, and Dallas Mavericks.
He has averaged 5.8 points and 1.3 rebounds in 13 minutes per game.
Giles has played for the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers and has appeared in 23 games, scoring 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds.
As for Johnson, he has averaged 19.7 points and 1.1 steals for 38 games with the Oklahoma City G League team, the Blue.
Now that the Hornets have waived these three stars, they have a roster of 17 players, which means they are in good shape for the upcoming season.
They ended 2023-24 as the 13th team in the East with a 21-61 record, which is far from where they want to be.
The Hornets have been making some front office changes lately and there is hope they can be much more productive, and much healthier, in the new season.
Many analysts predict they will make some more roster changes in the months ahead, and they should be watched for trades throughout 2024-25.
These three players will now try to find new homes in the NBA but their limited output over the years makes that difficult.
