Over the past few months, many notable NFL stars have received lucrative long-term contract extensions with their respective teams, with superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins being the most recent example.

Unfortunately for superstar wideout Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, a contract extension still hasn’t come to fruition, as he and the team’s brass have struggled to see eye-to-eye on a new deal, which was thought to be a distraction at training camp but hasn’t.

Despite not getting a new deal that will make him a very wealthy wide receiver, he has shown up at training camp and continues to put in the work, which seems to have gone a long way with head coach Zac Taylor.

On a recent appearance on Up & Adams with Kay Adams, Taylor was asked about Chase’s situation, and he revealed how much of a positive impact the superstar has on the Bengals.

“Ja’Marr affects the chemistry on the team in a positive way,” Taylor said. “When your star player has the energy and enthusiasm that he does … Ja’Marr has an effect on the team that is genuinely positive.”

At this point, it seems inevitable that a deal between the Bengals and Chase will eventually be done, as he is far too important to the team’s offensive success and is very close with fellow LSU alum Joe Burrow.

Once Chase officially signs, the Bengals can focus on rebounding from a forgettable 2023 campaign and trying to reclaim their status as legitimate Super Bowl title contenders in the AFC.
