The Dallas Cowboys headed into the 2023 NFL season with high hopes of being a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the NFC, as the team was stacked on both sides of the football while being led by stars Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons.
Throughout the regular season, the Cowboys were without a doubt one of the league’s elite teams, as Dallas paved its way to a 12-5 record, with Prescott making a case to win his first NFL MVP award as the leader under center.
Despite an impressive showing during the regular season, the second-seeded Cowboys fell apart in the first round of the NFL playoffs while hosting Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The Packers crushed the Cowboys on their home field, ending what was thought to potentially be a deep run in the postseason, leading many to believe that drastic changes could be made during the offseason.
One of those moves that was anticipated by the Cowboys was the firing of head coach Mike McCarthy, but that didn’t happen.
However, according to Tyler Dunne of Go Long via Dov Kleiman, McCarthy may be growing tired of longtime owner Jerry Jones’ antics.
“McCarthy’s doing it the best he can. Some of the people I’ve talked to have said that he’s getting fed up with it a little bit,” Dunne said.

Jones has infamously been known for being a very hands-on owner in the NFL, as he also acts as the team’s general manager and shares duties with his son Stephen Jones, who seems to be getting groomed to take over at some point.
However, Jones’ meddling might be difficult to deal with, which could be why McCarthy is frustrated in Dallas.
