The Jacksonville Jaguars just recently made the big decision to sign Pro Bowl quarterback Trevor Lawrence to a five-year deal worth $275 million.

He is right near the top of the leaderboard in terms of annual average value per year ($55 million).

While appearing recently on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Jaguars veteran safety Andre Cisco gave his take on Lawrence’s new deal.

“I’m really happy for him…It’s a lot of forward thinking going on in the front office,” Cisco stated.

Credit to Cisco for giving flowers to the organization for seemingly making the right call with their franchise quarterback.

Lawrence has helped lead the Jaguars to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2004-2005.

The former No. 1 overall pick and national champion out of Clemson has thrown for 4,000 yards and recorded 25+ touchdowns in each of the last two years.

Now, Lawrence has struggled with turnovers.

He has turned the ball over 60 times since 2021, which is the most in the league during that span.

For reference, Josh Allen is at No. 2 on that list with 59 total turnovers but has made up for it with over 120 touchdowns in that span.

Lawrence has recorded just 69 total touchdowns.

He certainly has the ability to be a good quarterback for a long, long time.

But, he could be an even greater one if he makes better decisions with the football.
