The Los Angeles Chargers entered the offseason with many questions surrounding their team and their future.
After firing their head coach and GM, fans were interested to see what the team would do to replace them and how the front office would grow and develop the roster.
Jim Harbaugh was added as their newest head coach, which has already sparked optimism among the fanbase.
The Chargers haven’t necessarily made many marquee acquisitions during the offseason, but many fans believe they are looking to the NFL Draft to make their most significant moves.
They have nine draft picks heading into the event, including three within the top 100.
Conventional wisdom might indicate that the Chargers would go after an offensive lineman with the No. 5 overall pick, but their actions have said otherwise.
As reporter Connor Allen recently highlighted on Twitter, the Chargers have yet to host a top offensive lineman prospect on a top-30 visit.
Interesting note: The Chargers have not had a single 30-visit with an offensive lineman so far.

He clarified in a later tweet that they had hosted two offensive linemen on these top 30 visits, but neither of them is viewed as a top prospect.
Update: They have had two 30-visits with offensive linemen, neither are top prospects though.

With this in mind, the Chargers could turn to a different position in round 1, such as wide receiver, especially since they have lost Mike Williams and Keenan Allen in the offseason.
Allen and Williams were Justin Herbert’s top two pass-catchers in this offense, and if the team wants to perform better this year than they did last year, they might feel it is in their best interest to tackle that position instead.
