The Kansas City Chiefs have become the first team since Tom Brady’s New England Patriots to repeat as Super Bowl champions after Patrick Mahomes and company were able to defy the odds and pave their way to the big game and get the best of the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

With the team winning back-to-back titles, the Chiefs have another lofty goal ahead of them to be the first team in NFL history to win three-straight Super Bowl titles, which would be an incredible accomplishment and might be a distinct possibility.

As the Chiefs gear up for another NFL season with high hopes of making league history, the team has made some changes to its roster over the course of the offseason, with an emphasis on the offensive side of the football.

Perhaps the most significant move the Chiefs made up to this point in the offseason, outside of re-signing star defensive tackle Chris Jones, was the signing of wide receiver Marquise Brown, formerly of the Arizona Cardinals.

Along with adding another talented wide receiver to the passing game, the Chiefs also went an unexpected route by bringing in a rugby player out of Wales named Louis Rees-Zammit, who recently got a chance to link up with Mahomes.

Currently, Rees-Zammit is being listed as a running back for the Chiefs, but it remains uncertain what role he’ll play on the team if he ends up making the squad.

Some believe Rees-Zammit was brought in due to the new kickoff rules to give Kansas City an edge in that department.
