Over the past calendar year, there were rumors that star wide receiver Stefon Diggs was at odds with the Buffalo Bills organization and Josh Allen, its star quarterback.

After the team lost in the divisional round of the playoffs, it traded Diggs to the Houston Texans, which didn’t exactly surprise plenty of people.

On Tuesday, he posted a cryptic message on Twitter which seems very open to interpretation.

“Never put the carriage before the horse…” he tweeted.

In Buffalo, Diggs was a member of a team that seemed to have the weapons to seriously challenge for the Super Bowl championship every season.

But they never made it to the big game with him — in fact, they got to the AFC Championship Game just once in his four seasons with them.

In Houston, Diggs is a member of a roster that is rapidly on the rise and has many weapons.

He will be playing alongside rising stud wide receivers Nico Collins and Tank Dell, and new running back Joe Mixon can take some additional pressure off of him.

On defense, the Texans have reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year Will Anderson Jr., as well as veteran Danielle Hunter, a four-time Pro Bowler they signed in free agency.

Hunter had been with the Minnesota Vikings, the team Diggs began his career with, since his rookie year in 2015, which means the two will now be reunited.

With quarterback C.J. Stroud, the Texans could very well do something special this fall and winter.
