Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan extends personal point streak

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan extended his personal point streak to 40 games with an assist as the London Knights beat the Flint Firebirds 3-2, and advanced to Round 2 of the OHL playoffs.

Cowan was able to find a loose puck, slip behind the Flint net, and dump it back to teammate Landon Sim who buried it for the game’s opening goal in the first period.

The 19-year-old has now recorded a point in 40 consecutive games if you combine the regular season and playoffs. He concluded the OHL campaign with 36 straight games with at least one point and continued that as the Knights swept the Firebirds.

Cowan finished the first round with two goals and three assists through four games, and London now awaits the winner of the Erie-Kitchener series.

The Leafs picked Cowan late in the first round (28th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft.
