Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is known as perhaps the greatest NBA shooter of all time.

Over the years, he has perfected his shooting skills and has become dangerous from all over the court.

But just because he is known for his shooting doesn’t mean he can’t dunk the ball too.

Speaking with 95.7 The Game, Curry talked about the first time he dunked.

“It was my freshman year at Davidson, so it took me a while… After one practice, I finally got it done, and it was a big day,” Curry said.

He said he had attempted dunking a few times in high school but was never able to do it.

It wouldn’t be until his time in college that Curry was able to achieve that feat.

Since then, Curry hasn’t created many dunks and has instead enhanced his shooting skills to become the all-time three-point leader in the NBA.

Instead of Curry dunking, that responsibility has been taken care of by others on the team such as Draymond Green, Jonathan Kuminga, and more.

Although dunking is still popular in the NBA, it has actually witnessed a decrease in prominence since Curry took over the league.

His ability to shoot has changed how people play the game.

Still, few NBA plays are as dominant and impressive as a traditional dunk.

At 36 years old, it’s unlikely that Curry will change his way and start dunking a lot more during the final years of his career.

Of course, he doesn’t have to because he has already earned his spot in NBA history thanks to his amazing ability to sink the ball from anywhere on the court.
