Four Spring Trends To Look Out For

Disclosure: Thank you to Nordstrom Rack and Collective Voice for sponsoring today’s post. All products were selected, purchased and worn by yours truly.

Move over fall, there is a new favorite season in town! I just recently had a conversation with a girlfriend about how much we love spring. It’s so fresh, bright and full of life! Spring just brings a sense of newness to my life… and to my closet! Across the internet I’ve seen some trends for this season popping up and I wanted to share which ones I am adopting into my spring wardrobe! And I know what you are thinking… who wants to invest in trends if they will just be headed out the door the following season? Well, with the help of Nordstrom Rack, I was able to find quality pieces that fit the bill for this season’s trends, but will also become staples in my closet!

Multicolored Sneakers [tts, wearing in 7.5] – Colorful sneakers are IN for spring and I have been seeing them everywhere. I totally fell in love with these sneakers when I stumbled upon them on Nordstrom Rack. The reviews were raving and I couldn’t hit add to cart fast enough! I love how these pair with the sweater! I think it’s an unexpected matching that makes a big statement.

Cropped Knit Sweater [tts, wearing in size small] – Absolutely loving the cut and color of this sweater!

Crop Flare Corduroys [tts, wearing in size 26] – I am completely obsessed with these pants. They are so comfortable and I love the color of them. Almost like a purple/blue/grey?! They hit my ankle at just the right spot! I’m 5’4 for reference.

Cargo Maxi Skirt [size down one, lots of stretch!] – I’ll be honest, maxi skirts have been trending for awhile but I was too scared to try them! This cargo maxi was definitely out of my comfort zone but I kind of love it!? Such a happy surprise. It is SO comfortable and stretchy. I can easily wear it all day long and be comfy [a major plus for this first time mom].

Graphic Tee [tts, wearing in size small] – Who doesn’t love a good graphic tee?! I saw this tee and knew it would totally bring the maxi skirt and sneakers together. This is now a go-to outfit for me!

In the interior design world, the “Unexpected Red Theory” is the idea that when you add something red to any space [whether it matches or not], it instantly makes it look more cohesive and elevated! I believe the same could be said for fashion! I love adding in a pop of red, especially when it “doesn’t make sense”! I paired these red heeled Mary-Janes and red beaded necklace with some classic Levi’s and striped button up!

Silver Teardrop Earrings – Mixing metals is IN! That’s right, it’s true. Again, I was apprehensive at first because I am either all silver or all gold. But honestly I was really missing out on some fun and unique pieces! I’ve seen this teardrop earring circulating Pinterest and knew I had to get my hands on some! I love these because they feel so luxe without feeling heavy!

Pearl Toggle Necklace – Pearls are in! Were they ever out?! Mixing in different mediums and textures is BIG this year. Charm necklaces and initial neckalces are also hitting the shelves like crazy!

Red Bead Necklace – My little bit of red! I think a dainty necklace is the perfect way to bring in that pop of red! Plus beaded necklaces are super easy to layer with! Layers on layers is in this spring!

And there you have it! The trends I am taking with me into spring and how I am styling them! I love taking fashion “risks” and hope I’ve encouraged you to try something a little out of your comfort zone! Want in on more goodies? See the new arrivals that just hit Nordstrom Rack here!
