It wasn’t a good night to be Utah Jazz forward John Collins.
Collins was the latest victim of the high-flying show known as Anthony Edwards, and will now forever be on NBA highlight reels around the world — just for the wrong reason.
Midway through the third quarter of Monday’s game between the Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves, Edwards took flight on the fast break and threw down a vicious slam over top of Collins.
Collins suffered a head contusion on the play, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported.
Collins is not the first player Edwards has put on a poster, and he certainly won’t be the last.
The NBA world rightfully exploded on social media after the dunk, with some claiming it as the dunk of the year.
