The New York Yankees aren’t always transparent when it comes to injuries and their management in the media.

Yes, New Yorkers have a particular way of reacting to certain news and developments, but the truth should always be prioritized.

The organization has been known for hiding facts, mishandling information, and being mysterious about injuries.

That might not be the worst of all: sometimes, they misdiagnose injuries, or fail to announce them correctly.

For instance, last year, Aaron Judge tore ligaments of his right big toe, and the Yankees called it a sprain for weeks.

At one point in the summer, Judge himself called it for what it was, a ligament tear.

On Tuesday, the folks at Talkin’ Yanks analyzed the Yankees’ treatment of injuries in the media and blasted the organization, via Twitter.

“The Yankees need to stop lying about injuries” was the caption of the tweet.

They talked about how Judge winced after a swing on Sunday, in his second at-bat of the day.

It turns out he hurt his abdominal area, but the Yankees, instead of coming clean, stated that the plan was to take Judge out after two plate appearances.

Then, more than 24 hours later, they talk about an injury, an MRI, and the chance Judge misses Opening Day.

Not only are fans mad at the way the organization handles and treats information in these cases: the media, of course, has spoken.

They are not happy.

All they want is the team to be transparent about these things.

Nothing more, nothing less.
