Several personnel moves were agreed to on Monday across the NFL, and the league has already seen a good amount of consequential activity.

One team that has been aggressive is the Green Bay Packers, a team that already appeared to be on the rise in the late stages of the 2023 season.

They are adding star running back Josh Jacobs while also bringing in young safety Xavier McKinney, and it has sent a serious message that they won’t settle for simply being on an upward trajectory.

On FS1’s “Speak,” Emmanuel Acho said the biggest winner of NFL free agency so far is Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love.

While Green Bay has had a nice running back duo in recent seasons of AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones, Jacobs is simply on a higher level than either man.

Jacobs led the league in rushing yards in 2022, and while his production dropped in 2023 as a member of the struggling Las Vegas Raiders, he’s just 26 years of age.

Meanwhile, McKinney, who is 24 years of age, joins a young Packers defense that has already shown promise.

Love took over under center after Aaron Rodgers was traded last offseason, and all eyes were on him as he was tasked with leading the offense of one of pro football’s most iconic franchises.

After struggling early in the schedule, he came on strong and led the Packers to an upset of the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the playoffs on the road.

To that point, Dallas had gone undefeated at home, and it is the type of resounding win that Green Bay can only build on, especially given their new reinforcements.

Getting those new reinforcements has likely sent a message to Love that the organization is serious about maximizing whatever potential he has in the years to come.
