Maple Leafs re-sign Nick Abruzzese with two-year, two-way deal


Forward Nick Abruzzese has signed a two-year, two-way contract extension worth $1.55 million with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the team announced Monday.

The NHL AAV of the contract is $775,000.

Abruzzese, 24, had 16 goals and 32 assists for 48 points in 69 games with the Toronto Marlies in 2022-23, adding two goals and five assists for seven assists in seven playoff games.

In two games with the Maple Leafs last season, the Slate Hill, N.Y., native had two assists.

A fourth-round (124th overall) pick by the Leafs in the 2019 NHL Draft, Abruzzese had 23 goals and 54 assists for 77 points in 59 career NCAA games with Harvard University.
