As he has done many times before, Skip Bayless earned a lot of attention over his latest statement about LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Bayless said that even though James has done so much in his career, including scoring 40,000 points, he still isn’t any higher on his list of top-ten basketball stars.

“[Before and after 40,000 points, I still have LeBron James ninth on my All-Time list]… Because playing longer does not make you better,” Bayless said, via Legion Hoops.

A large number of people took to social media to push back against Bayless’ view of James.

“Oh brother,” one user said, showing frustration with Bayless.

Over the years, the sports analyst has said many controversial things, especially against James.

So, many fans aren’t very surprised by this latest comment.

A lot of people came out to criticize Bayless and his belief about James’ place in history.

Bayless is in the business of starting conversations and getting views, so his latest statement about James is going to help him.

Fans will argue with him about who ranks higher than James and there are plenty of fans, both of the Lakers and the NBA, who place him towards the top of any list.

His recent achievement of scoring 40,000 career points was just the latest stunning feat that James has earned.

He is a historic 20-time All-Star, scoring champion, four-time MVP, Rookie of the Year, In-Season Tournament MVP, member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and four-time champion.

Not to mention he is still averaging 25.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 8 assists during his 21st year in the league.

Bayless’ opinion of James is going to keep generating a response, both positive and negative.

It won’t change anyone else’s view but it will create more conversation about the Lakers superstar.
