The Denver Broncos are more than likely going to move on from Russell Wilson, and that’s probably for the best.

The front office has made it loud and clear that they don’t want him there anymore, and he refused to waive his injury guarantee and restructure his contract, so there could be some bad blood there.

On top of that, HC Sean Payton never seemed to give him an opportunity to prove himself.

Wilson doesn’t want to call it quits yet and he recently claimed that he wants to win two Super Bowls in the next five years.

That could be out of reach, but it’s clear that he’s not going to retire any time soon.

Considering that, NFL analyst Hugh Douglas believes the Pittsburgh Steelers make the most sense as his next destination:

“I think the best situation, in my opinion, would be the Pittsburgh Steelers,” Douglas said.

Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, he argued that even though he wasn’t exactly spectacular, number-wise, he was more than able to hold down the fort in Denver, especially considering everything that evolved around him.

He believes that the Steelers need someone who can move the chains and take good care of the football, and Wilson only threw eight picks last season, so it makes sense for them.

Wilson obviously isn’t the player he used to be in his prime, but it’s not like he can’t play anymore.

Also, he’d be a significant improvement for the Steelers’ stagnant offense, especially with an offensive coordinator like Arthur Smith calling the shots.
