Playing in the NBA takes an immense amount of talent as it is the best basketball league in the world.

Keeping that in mind, being an excellent player in the league for more than a decade is an even bigger accomplishment.

With that being said, Patrick Beverley is someone who has played the last 12 years of his career in the NBA.

However, prior to his arrival in the NBA, Beverley started his professional journey while playing in Greece.

During that stint, Beverley donned the jersey of Olympiacos in the EuroLeague and Greek Basket League.

Speaking of Beverley’s time in Greece, Thanasis Antetokounmpo apparently looked up to him, as revealed via NBACentral on Twitter.

“I’m playing in Greece, right? I’m playing for arguably the best team in Greece. Olympiacos. … This is what he’s telling me, ‘Pat man. I remember, bro watching you playing for Olympiacos, like, d—, I want to be just like that,’” Beverley revealed about Thanasis.

As mentioned earlier, playing in the NBA takes a lot of talent, and Beverley has lasted in the league for more than a decade.

During his time, Beverley has had his moments, but he has never been a clear-cut superstar.

Speaking of Thanasis Antetokounmpo, he is widely known for being the elder brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo and has seemingly earned a permanent spot on the Milwaukee Bucks due to the aforementioned fact.

At the end of the day, only Thanasis can provide an honest answer about Beverley’s claim.
