The Kansas City Chiefs need to make sure to keep the band together for next season, especially on defense.

Of course, Chris Jones will get most of the attention, as the team cannot afford to be without their best player, especially after he threatened to hold out last season and even sat out the season opener.

Nonetheless, he might not be the only defensive player looking to walk away in the offseason.

Recently, DE Charles Omenihu has made the rounds for his social media activity, talking about how he wants to feel appreciated and how he was able to put up numbers despite missing some time.

With that in mind, it didn’t take long before the fans started speculating on social media.

That’s why he took to Twitter to call out the “Twitter GMs,” claiming that he laughs at them for how wrong they are most of the time.

Omenihu played 56% of defensive snaps for the team last season, logging seven sacks and 11 QB hits in 11 appearances.

He missed the start of the season because of a suspension over a failed drug test.

He’s about to enter the second year of a two-year pact he signed before the start of the campaign, but the contract includes a low dead cap value in 2024 if the team wants to move on.

It’s also worth noting that he’s looking at a long layoff.

He suffered a torn ACL during the AFC Championship Game win over the Baltimore Ravens.

He’s going to have a base salary of $6.7 million next season, but there’s no guaranteed money in the deal.
