At 36-19, the Denver Nuggets appear to be pacing themselves during the 2023-24 NBA season and saving their best basketball for the postseason.

The Nuggets sit in fourth in the Western Conference, but no one truly believes they’re the fourth-best team despite squads like the Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Los Angeles Clippers sitting right above them.

Denver remains a massive threat to repeat as champions because the league still hasn’t figured out a way to slow down Nikola Jokic.

Jokic may not be getting the same kind of national attention that he’s used to, but he remains a one-man wrecking crew on the offensive end.

Jokic’s best attribute is his passing and playmaking, but he can also take over as a scorer when needed.

Celebrity fans like Snoop Dogg can appreciate good basketball players and he picked Jokic as the best player in the league via The All The Smoke Podcast.

Players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Luka Doncic are the most common names when discussing the MVP race, but Jokic deserves more love for what he’s doing.

Jokic is averaging 26.1 points, 12 rebounds and 8.9 assists on nearly 60 percent shooting from the field, incredible numbers for any player.

There’s no singular defense that Jokic can’t solve and that’s what gives the Nuggets the biggest advantage during the playoffs.

Denver is banking on Jokic being able to uplift the team in the postseason again and there’s no reason to believe he can’t given what he’s already accomplished.
